Big Love is a truly unique show. It takes a taboo topic and pushes the envelope. The writers on the show are innovative and exciting. They were...until this past Sunday.

I was watching the show and about a month or so ago there was a new character (Dale) introduced that was gay and now you do what most shows do to kill the gay plot of a show. You have the gay character commit suicide.

We are more than a side joke, sub plot, or an audience grabber. We are people with relationship, hearts, and minds. Yes, the two characters (Alby and Dale) exchanged loving moments and professed their love for each other, but why have one character commit suicide? Why could he just have moved away?

Or maybe this is a plot twist, where he is murdered? I hope so, because we are more than just side line players.
